Mediation

Stimultania defends a demanding and rich mediation which aims to empower the viewer. Educating through images means placing photography and the act of creation at the heart of educational reflection. It is feeding cultural references and supporting in building a personal heritage. It is creating opportunities, facing the world and promoting free and assumed position statements.

Little supportive to turnkey projects, Stimultania closely works with partners to meet specific needs. Mediations thus make it possible for professionals, skills and people from different backgrounds to meet.

These actions are of variable duration and fit into various contexts: school from kindergarten to high school, hospital and medico-social centers, prison, within centers for welcoming and integrating newcomers or in projects with the inhabitants of the areas in which the two institutions are located.

Since 2015, Stimultania has been running cycles of photographic workshops, supported by the DRAC and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, with young adults with mild or moderate intellectual disabilities, with or without associated disorders, in Medico-educational institutes in the metropolis of Saint-Étienne.

In 2019, thanks to the long-term support of AG2R LA MONDIALE, Stimultania is entering a phase of deployment and sustainability of the action. Stimultania designs À l'huile de coude, a cycle around the theme of work, to support the professional integration of people with disabilities by stimulating specific functions. Each cycle ends with a professional exhibition in partner cultural venues.
