Mediation

Stimultania defends a demanding and rich mediation which aims to empower the viewer. Educating through images means placing photography and the act of creation at the heart of educational reflection. It is feeding cultural references and supporting in building a personal heritage. It is creating opportunities, facing the world and promoting free and assumed position statements.

Little supportive to turnkey projects, Stimultania closely works with partners to meet specific needs. Mediations thus make it possible for professionals, skills and people from different backgrounds to meet.

These actions are of variable duration and fit into various contexts: school from kindergarten to high school, hospital and medico-social centers, prison, within centers for welcoming and integrating newcomers or in projects with the inhabitants of the areas in which the two institutions are located.

Open to everyone tours designed by Stimultania are suited for groups to dive further into the exhibition. They give the opportunity to have access to a more profound knowledge of the context and of the author, thanks to their stories shared during the exhibition setups and during the public encounter which follows the exhibition opening. The guided tour's objectives are to enrich knowledge and initiate a structured reflection, not to guide thoughts or feelings.

In addition to the visit, Stimultania offers short format workshops. They are an opportunity to experiment a simple photographic technique through the lens of one of the exhibition's topics. They are mainly target children and teenagers, as well as inhabitants of the Strasbourg Gare neighbourhood.
