With Stimultania

Supported by the Métropole de Lyon as part of summer quarters.

Stimultania invites Marion Bornaz, photographer from Lyon, to design and lead 4 days of practical workshops for children aged 6-12 living in Givors. Accustomed to artistic transmission projects, the artist offers a collective creative time to produce a set of pop-up pages.

On the first day, they discovered the artist's work and examples of pop-up books; they experimented with the devices and designed the story, the common thread of the following days.

Day 2, location scouting and photographs in the public square in front of Stimultania and the surrounding area in search of historical settings. Day 3, staging with accessories to photograph the characters of the story and at the end of the last day, cutting, gluing and shaping to make the pop-ups.

In a joyous whirlwind of laughter, games and experiments of all kinds, the small group approached photography in a variety of ways while following the unfolding of a fantastic story, that of Yosko, a quiet young boy who, walking through the deserted streets of Givors, falls into a black hole. Yosko meets scientists, puts on magic sneakers, walks in the clouds, meets people speaking all the languages of the world except his own, but also a wizard dressed in black and his werewolf, descends on a licorice rope, returns to the normal world and there, turns into a pigeon. "Once upon a time…"
