FAQ

THE WORDS OF THE CLICK, from what age and with whom?

You can use LES MOTS DU CLIC with everyone from 6 years old! The word cards are divided into 6 categories and divided according to 3 levels of linguistic difficulty. You can therefore sort before the start of the game in order to adapt the cards according to the age and language level of your players.
The different categories of cards are organized according to the following types of words: nouns, adjectives, adverbs, verbs, etc. These words allow you, at the end of the game, to write a sentence.
As for the type of players, Stimultania regularly organizes games with children from kindergarten to post-baccalaureate level but also with people in prison or in medical-social or socio-cultural centers, in training centers, EHPADs, reception and support structures for allophone people, new arrivals or refugees or even in hospital structures.

With which photographs can I use the LES MOTS DU CLIC game?

The choice of photography is crucial for a game. The photographs can come from a newspaper, a book or an exhibition for example. The images chosen must allow for rich and complex discussions. We therefore advise you to turn to images produced by artist-authors.
To meet this need, Stimultania regularly designs thematic materials: sets of ready-to-use photographs which allow you to use LES MOTDS DU CLIC and debate social issues. In 2024, there are 4 thematic supports “The body: Between representations and feelings”, “Relationships, dreams and memories”, “Work” and “Sport”.

The game lasts between 30 minutes and 1 hour. Indeed, it is possible to reduce the time depending on the game methods offered. Thus, the facilitator can decide to remove certain categories of cards or even remove word cards based on the language level stickers. I play with non-speaking people, which cards should I choose?

On the back of the word cards in the LES MOTS DU CLIC game, dots indicate the players' language level.
1 tablet: corresponds to level A1-A2

3 pellets: corresponds to a person with a fluent level of French
If you are playing with people with a beginner level of French, you can decide to only use level A1-A2 cards. The language levels have been validated by French as a Foreign Language teachers. You may need to sort things differently if the audience you are playing with is faced with conceptualization issues (e.g. people with cognitive disabilities).

Can we play as a family (children and parents together for example)?

Of course ! As long as reflection remains free and open and everyone can express themselves without constraint or judgment!

Can we bring together people with very different language levels in the same group?

Yes ! It will then be necessary for people with a higher level of French to support people with a lower level of French. The game LES MOTS DU CLIC is based on discussion and debate: as long as kindness remains the order of the day and everyone can express themselves, the mix of language levels can only be beneficial. Be careful, however, not to put a participant in difficulty, a person with a level of French A1-A2 may quickly become closed off and not feel justified in speaking if the group around them does not give them the opportunity to express themselves.
