15 equipped establishments in Kehl
18 schools equipped in Strasbourg
In spring 2022, while Strasbourg is a candidate for the UNESCO World Book Capital 2024 Label, Stimultania and the team of Read Our World are designing a deployment plan to equip all elementary schools in the city of Strasbourg with the LES MOTS DU CLIC game.
3 SCHOOL YEARS
More than just sending resources to schools, Stimultania is planning an ambitious training program to support teachers in using LES MOTS DU CLIC teaching materials with their students.
Supported by the DASEN (Academic Director of National Education Services), Stimultania is working with departmental and district educational advisors to include the LES MOTS DU CLIC training course in the catalog of 18 hours of mandatory teacher training. Spread over three school years, the training courses are available in various tailor-made formats ranging from three to nine hours depending on the availability and needs of the schools. The training courses were conducted in tandem with the departmental visual arts educational advisor and included a time for play, some formats included classroom observation time, others included a time for feedback.
“Children want to say so many things, but they lack the words. Giving them words helps them explore their imagination, structure their thoughts, and share their point of view with others.”
“The training completely helps convince teachers of the usefulness and relevance of this game.”
Anne Matthaey, departmental educational advisor in visual arts in the Bas-Rhin department
A NEW SPORTS GAME SUPPORT
In celebration of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, sport is one of the educational priorities for the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 school years. The project therefore included Stimultania developing a thematic resource on sport to help teachers address this topic with their students. Released in January 2024, it was distributed to all 53 elementary schools in the city of Strasbourg.
Through fifteen photographs of authors who have exhibited or produced collective works with audiences and Stimultania, the Sport game medium addresses themes such as sport and disability, self-image, the environment, sporting fervor, gender but also allows for discussion of subjects such as customs, childhood, religion and politics.
THE GAME IN GERMAN
The project adapts to the cross-border nature of the city of Strasbourg: the game LES MOTS DU CLIC is published in a revised German version for the first time since 2015. In a unique way, the thematic game materials “The Body”, “Relationships” and “Sport” are also translated, as well as the explanatory brochure.
The 15 establishments in the city of Kehl therefore benefit from all the resources necessary to take charge of the LES MOTS DU CLIC educational material and use it with their students.
Schools in the city of Strasbourg that have bilingual classes are also equipped with the German version of the game and benefit from classroom activities.
