EDITIONS - REVIEW - PODCAST

For several years, Stimultania Pôle de photographie has been developing an atypical editorial work devoted to collective creations, produced by professional artists and amateur participants. : custom-edited objects at the end of the creation period and a review, Expérimentations Splendides. In parallel with the print editions, a series of podcasts, as a new broadcast channel for the artists' voices, was created following the health crisis.

Our new frontiers is a podcast cycle co-produced by Stimultania and the CPA (Center du Patrimoine Arménien), echoing the photographic project led by Guillaume Herbaut with two groups of volunteers, in Givors and Valence, in January and March 2021.

FIRST ASPECT: GUILLAUME HERBAUT

This first part is a dialogue with the photojournalist Guillaume Herbaut led by Chrystèle Roveda, head of the public sector of the CPA, recorded in January 2021. It is structured around three photographs which allow the artist to talk about his approach, his way of approaching the world and the general theme of the project: the border seen from the angle of the current health situation and the experience of confinement.

Guillaume Herbaut, born in 1970, lives and works in Paris. Along with commissions for the press, his documentary work takes him to places steeped in history: Chernobyl, Auschwitz, Nagasaki, Ukraine. His photographs have been exhibited at the Jeu de Paume, at the Maison rouge and in numerous festivals. He has received several awards, including two World Press, a Visa d'or, the Niépce 2011 prize and, in 2016, the Bayeux-Calvados prize for war correspondents, web journalism category, for his roadmap in Ukraine produced by Arte Info.
