Distribution – Strasbourg World Book Capital 2024

IN NUMBERS :
53 schools equipped in Strasbourg
15 students affected

In spring 2022, while Strasbourg is a candidate for the UNESCO World Book Capital 2024 Label, Stimultania and the team of Read Our World are designing a deployment plan to equip all elementary schools in the city of Strasbourg with the LES MOTS DU CLIC game.

3 SCHOOL YEARS

At the end of the 3 school years of deployment, from September 2022 to May 2025, these will be:

53 schools equipped with LES MOTS DU CLIC educational materials and trained in its use

15 student beneficiaries

1 new game support around sport to support teachers whose sport will be one of the priority education themes in parallel with the Paris 2024 Olympic Games

adaptation to the cross-border nature of Strasbourg with the broadcast of the German version of the game LES MOTS DU CLIC for bilingual schools and classes

With the support of DASEN (Academic Director of National Education Services) Stimultania is working with departmental and district educational advisors to include LES MOTS DU CLIC training in the catalog of 18 hours of compulsory teacher training. A training program spread over three school years makes it possible to support teachers in using LES MOTS DU CLIC tools and to design tailor-made training according to the availability and needs of schools.

5 STRONG AREAS OF THE PROJECT

Find here the 5 strong axes of the Lire Notre Monde project which particularly resonate with LES MOTS DU CLIC:

An education game for the eye, a citizen tool for image criticism that allows people to argue, accept disagreement, cooperate and make collective decisions, LES MOTS DU CLIC participates in themedia education in democratic dialogue and the study of challenges of our time which make Strasbourg a “crossroads city of ideas and debates”.

LES MOTS DU CLIC allows you to create a moment of encounter and enrich the understanding of the world, to highlight cultures and thus move towards a “city of refuge”, in a fun and non-judgmental setting.

The innovative method of the game, with its illustrated word cards based on visual didactics, allows the learning of French, both orally and in writing, and makes the use of the language accessible to young school audiences. It is about giving the taste for the pleasure of reading for a “child-friendly” and “emancipatory city”.
