The PILS collective invites you to its 82nd evening with the Swiss quartet GRÜM and saxophonist Arsène Ott.

___________________GRÜM is the collaboration of four artistic personalities who, inspired by their passionate enthusiasm for experimental musical forms, formed a quartet. The four embark on a creative research journey, always striving to bring together the unusual sound worlds of their instruments in varied musical combinations and ultimately transforming them into an original, previously unheard whole. Without embellishment and without pretension, they follow absolute coherence in their common creative process, devoting themselves to the detailed facets of sounds and noises and opening up spaces for individual and collective sound research for each other.
In May, the quartet will tour Switzerland, France, Hungary and Slovakia.
Lara Süss: voice, sampler
Thomas Rohrer: rabeca, saxophone, objects
Christian Moser: cümbüş, electronics
Jacek Chmiel: electronics, zither

___________________Mixtures
Arsène Ott (saxophone, effects)The sound comes out of the saxophone, it rolls like a pinball in the effects pedal. This mixture of colors or materials will float in the air before exploding like a soap bubble in our ears. The sonic exactions produced disorient both the listener and the musician. If the sound leaves (or speaks) of itself here, it is to become something else, it disturbs our listening and playing habits. This spontaneous and consented disintegration then serves as a grid or score for the saxophonist.

Arsène Ott is part of the Strasbourg trio Daidal https://daidal.bandcamp.com/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5bYAiVTUUg
