In connection with the prize exhibition Photography & Science and the game support for CLICK WORDS on thethe theme of the environment.
A multidisciplinary author and photographer, Richard Pak has established himself as an explorer of island spaces. Moderated by Hugo Martin, a lecturer at ENSCI-Les Ateliers and a doctoral candidate in visual arts at the University of Strasbourg, this discussion with the artist will examine some island myths in light of the realities on the ground. Three of the photographer's series will be at the heart of the exchange: *La Firme*, a narrative of a utopia on the island of Tristan da Cunha; *L'Archipel du troisième sexe*, a portrait of the rae-rae people in Tahiti; and *L'Île naufragée*, which documents Nauru, a Pacific island that has gone from an Eldorado to an ecological disaster. These are all territories where the ambiguities of the island imagination are revealed.
