"A dive into the world of children, where the barns are packed with soil."

Hélène Bléhaut, an illustrator and photographer from Strasbourg with a sparkling gaze and a traveling foot, is invited to work with the four classes of the small school in Montcarra.

When she arrives in April, we already know her: for three months, every week, the students have received an image from her. A photograph taken in Haiti where she is leading a personal project around music. For each image received, the children produced a response which they then sent to the artist. From Montcarra to Haiti, this remote dialogue has aroused curiosity on both sides, the boiling and impatience marks the beginning of the intervention which will take place over two weeks.

The objective is to tell “his corner”. Its corner of the earth, its “what-is-around”, its city, its school, its refuge and those who inhabit it. A joyful, light, abounding ensemble is then produced where observation and observation (“It amazes me that there is no game in this big yard. Too bad.“) Mingle with the poetic, the everyday, the ordinary and what one can find extraordinary there.
