Melania Avanzato, photographer from Lyon, went to meet adults and children staying at the Reception Center for Asylum Seekers of the Adoma home in Givors. She took “crossroads” with them, the time of a walk where the footsteps of some guided those of the other. Sensitive portraits are born from this crossing, fleeting but intense, and they mingle with the photographs taken by the people, captures of details encountered on the course.
Their names are Ali, Arafat, Mohammed, Mohammed, Nazar, Nilumi, Sumaya, Tijane, Yakouba, Yussef. They are between 9 and 30 years old, have been living in Givors for less than a year. They offered their face, their gestures, their appearance to an attentive and available photographer.
