As part of the exhibition Nitassinan by Yann Datessen, attend a conference presented by Hélène Boivin: constitutionalist and member of the Mashteuiatsh community.


Hélène Boivin, originally from Mashteuiatsh and a member of the Pekuakamiulnuatsh Nation, is an active participant in Indigenous culture, territory, and governance. Trained in social sciences at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, she has worked for over thirty years on issues related to the affirmation, defense, and protection of Indigenous rights. Her experience encompasses culture and heritage, research, community development, and government relations. Since 2019, she has chaired the Tipelimitishun Commission, dedicated to developing a constitution specific to the Nation, as part of a process of self-determination.
